| As both a realtor and interior designer, how does your eye for design influence the way you get dressed?
I’ve always had a great love of fashion and interest in design. As an artist, I think you have a natural draw to fashion. I’ve always had a great love of fashion and interest in design. As an artist, I think you have a natural draw to fashion. My sense of style has always been unique—I love an eclectic look. I’ve loved Hampden pieces since 2010, and Stacy’s vision to empower women had
me from hello. There’s just something special about fashion that tells a story and makes you feel confident in your own skin. In the design world as well as in the fashion world, there are certain trends, and oftentimes they go hand in hand—prints, textures, colors, etc. Sometimes I'll be in a store and my outfit matches a fabric or wallpaper perfectly, and you think, “of course it does.” They definitely inspire each other.
How does living in Charleston influence the way you approach style?
Charleston is absolutely stunning—beautiful aesthetically, historically, and organically. People here are well-dressed. With such a great food scene, fashion scene, and culture, you’re inspired to elevate your style and put your best foot forward.
When you’re shopping at Hampden, what kinds of pieces tend to catch your eye?
Unique pieces that I haven’t seen before—new brands. I’m always drawn to R13, Sacai, and Marni. Certain silhouettes catch my eye, too. These brands aren’t worn by everyone, so they give a unique edge. I like to dress a little edgy and cool—it’s always been my style.
