1. Scope
This policy applies to purchases made directly on Templ8.email for access to our email template builder, premium features, and related services. It does not cover fees charged by third-party email service providers (ESPs) or any external services you may use in conjunction with Templ8.
2. EU/NL Cooling-off Period
Under EU consumer protection law, consumers in the European Union and the Netherlands generally have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases (online purchases).
Digital content exception
For digital content and services delivered immediately upon purchase, the right of withdrawal may not apply once performance has begun, provided the consumer has given explicit prior consent and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal.
At checkout, we clearly inform you that by purchasing and accessing the Service immediately, you consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that this may affect your right of withdrawal. If you have not accessed or used the Service and are within the 14-day period, contact us and we will assess your eligibility for a full refund under EU rules.
3. Our Goodwill Guarantee
30-day satisfaction guarantee
If you experience a technical issue that prevents reasonable use of the Service and contact us within 30 days of your purchase, we will work to resolve the issue or offer a refund at our reasonable discretion.
We want every customer to have a positive experience. If something isn't working as expected, reach out to us — we'll do our best to make it right.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to support@templ8.email with the subject line “Refund Request.”
- Include the following information:
- The email address associated with your Account
- Your purchase date and order/transaction ID (if available)
- A brief description of the reason for your request
- We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
Approved refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days and returned to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
5. Annual Subscriptions & Early Cancellation
If you purchased an annual subscription and wish to cancel early, any eligible refund will be calculated based on the monthly rate (not the discounted annual rate divided by 12) for the months used, deducted from the amount paid.
Cancellation does not result in an automatic refund. You must submit a refund request as described in Section 4. Upon cancellation, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.
6. Exclusions
Refunds are not available in the following circumstances:
- Third-party costs: Fees charged by email service providers, hosting services, or other external services
- Terms violations: Accounts terminated due to abuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Use
- Extended use: Requests made more than 30 days after the purchase date (unless required by applicable mandatory consumer law)
- Custom/enterprise agreements: Purchases made under custom contracts that specify different terms
- Change of mind: After accessing and using the Service, if the product functions as described (unless mandatory consumer protection laws apply)
7. Payment Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at support@templ8.email before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank. We're committed to resolving billing issues quickly and directly.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your Account pending resolution of the dispute.
8. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or waives any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction, including but not limited to:
- EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU)
- Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek), Book 7
- Any other applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation
EU consumers may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
