Ashley Carino’s style is as dynamic as her spirit — fun, sporty, and effortlessly clean, with a love of bright colors shaped by Charleston’s sunshine-filled days. Ashley approaches getting dressed the same way she approaches life: with confidence and a willingness to try something new. Right now, much of that energy is focused on her participation in Battle of the Bricks, where 42 amateur boxers step into the ring to raise money for charity. Driven by her passion for fitness and her desire to show her five daughters the power of pushing beyond your comfort zone, Ashley is giving this challenge her all--training hard, embracing the nerves, and proving that sometimes the most meaningful victories come from simply stepping into the ring.

About Battle Of The Bricks

Charleston’s biggest charity boxing event, BOTB4 is bringing an unforgettable night of action and community support in the TD Arena crowd on June 20, 2026. 42 amateur boxers raise money for charity and then go head to head for an epic night of boxing. Money raised will be donated to the event's charities: The MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, The Warrior Surf Foundation, The Charleston Athletic Fund, The Down Syndrome Assocation of the Lowcountry, Operation Heal Our Heroes, and The Lens Foundation.

Who do you look to for outfit inspiration?
Alexis (my niece and stylist at Hampden)

Does living in Charleston influence your style? How?
Definitely, because of the weather. In the summer, I live in maxi dresses — that’s pretty much all I wear. I also love bright colors, which I probably wouldn’t have worn as much when I lived in California. It’s definitely expanded my style and made me try more.

What project or cause are you most excited about right now?
Battle on the Bricks. I don’t think I’ll ever get another opportunity like this to give back to my community, so I’m really excited to give it my all and raise as much money as possible for the charities involved. If I’m not giving it everything, then why am I doing it?

How did you get involved and what makes it special to you?
I’ve always loved fitness and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I attended Battle on the Bricks a few years ago and just wanted to be a part of it and step into the ring. Honestly, half the battle is just getting yourself in there. I also have five daughters, so I want to show them that you can do anything you want — it’s okay to feel uncomfortable and push yourself. You’re not always going to win, but I might not win — I mean, I plan on winning — but no matter what, I know I’ve out-trained whoever I’m up against. I’m 100% committed.

Now that it’s here, what are you most excited about?
I’m most excited for my family to be there and experience it with me. I’m in the gym so much, and I don’t think people realize how much effort this has taken, so I’m excited for them to see it all come together. Just being out there, feeling the energy, and having them be a part of it. And then I’m excited to take a break — my body needs it.

If you could pick a walkout song, what would it be?
I found a house version of “Titanium” that I love. I also love Kendrick Lamar, so something like that could be good. I feel like when I hear the right one, I’ll know — I’m just keeping my ears open.
