Dear Friend, Last week, my family and I had the profound honor of watching the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. The guards stand watch 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — rain, snow, heat, doesn't matter. These soldiers volunteer for this post and are considered the elite of the elite within the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). Watching them, I was reminded of the immense dedication and sacrifice that makes our everyday freedoms possible. It's something I won't forget. As Memorial Day weekend approaches, I hope you get the chance to slow down — gather with people you love, fire up the grill, and enjoy the outdoors. And in the middle of all of it, take a quiet moment to remember those who made it possible. From our family to yours — Happy Memorial Day. Jim Montgomery, Thankful Owner EVERYMAN
