NEW GARMIN PILOT™ APP UPDATES FOR WEATHER, TURBULENCE AND MORE

We’re continually responding to customer requests and ideas for Garmin Pilot product enhancements. Recent updates include a new daily outlook feature for Apple mobile devices that shows aviation weather 6 days into the future — a great help in flight planning. Want to preview terminal procedures on your computer? Our SmartCharts dynamic charting solution is now available on Garmin Pilot Web™. We’ve also added a new weather layer for turbulence that’s accessible on our web platform or Apple mobile devices. This helps you see and avoid areas of turbulence, so your passengers can enjoy a smoother, more comfortable ride.

Expanding its global reach for pilots, the Garmin aviation navigation database now offers coverage for Africa. Additionally, a new Transatlantic OnePak™ subscription option extends the international coverage available for your compatible devices — adding Africa to the full data for North America, South America and Europe in one all-inclusive, money-saving purchase.

NEW WAYPOINTS INFORMATION APP FOR D2™ WATCHES

Available as a free software update, the new Waypoints Information app for our D2 Air X15 and D2 Mach 2 series aviator smartwatches lets you check an aeronautical database for radio frequencies, runway and navaid data, airport information and more — all without a phone connection.

GFC™ 600 AUTOPILOT APPROVALS

Our GFC 600 digital autopilot has received FAA approval for installation on select Air Tractor AT-802A turboprop agricultural aircraft, as well as the Piper Matrix PA-46R-350T high-performance piston single. Certification for the Cessna 310 P/Q series piston twin is expected in July. A current list of FAA-approved aircraft models is available on our website.
